If you are looking on ways to become a network engineer, just get ready to have lots of knowledge. It takes hard work and dedication because a computer engineer is the computer’s backbone.

One of the first things you must do, is go to college and study in a computer related field. You do not have to get a degree in computer engineering. You can study in something totally different, but still in the same field and be eligible to work. Make sure you look into the field before you major in it. But you will definitely need some type of computer degree before you can become a network engineer.

If your university has some type of information technology office, you should try getting a job with them. This type of job will require at least 1 to 2 years of related computer study. This will also look good when you begin to build your resume. You should definitely look into that.

Troubleshooting duties vary from restoring poor connections to configuration.

In order to become a certified network administrator, a bachelor’s degree may not be necessarily required. However, according the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, it is recommended, as many employers desire candidates with a bachelor’s degree. In some cases, some employers will accept candidates with a combination of experience and certification.
